Do you love to vape but hate the hassle of refilling your rig? Your vape pen usually runs out at the worst of times, and then you have to pause and get it topped up again, and then you are back in business.

Vape Pens
Vape pens for sale come in two main types: closed system and open system.
Closed System
A closed system vape includes a mouthpiece, a pre-filled cartridge, a battery, and an indicator to show power levels. While many companies make these, they all share these basic features. With this type of system, when you run out of vape juice, you simply swap the old cartridge with a fresh one.
You don’t refill a tank yourself; instead, you get these ready-to-go cartridges from your local vape shop. Similar to this, a disposable vape pen is another type of closed system. You can’t refill it, and when the juice runs out or the battery gives up, it’s time to throw it away and pick up a new one.
Open System
An open system typically consists of a mouthpiece, refillable tank, control button, and rechargeable battery. As mentioned above, there are many different types of models, but the concept is the same: when the e-juice runs out, you refill the tank with your desired vape juice and start vaping away.
Refilling an Open System Vape Pen
This is how to refill your vape pen tank, regardless of type.
Take apart the tank portion of the vaping rig. This is usually achieved by unscrewing the airflow base at the bottom and pulling the coil out. Leave the mouthpiece, top connector and tank attached.
This is a good opportunity to clean your tank without using the same e-juice. Put one drop of e-liquid in each coil hole using the dropper from the bottle you bought. This preps and preserves the coil. Unscrew the top connector of the tank to gain access to the fill hole, and use your dropper to fill the tank up to the recommended fill level.
Ensure you don’t get any liquid into the centre tube, as this is where you inhale from. Reassemble the tank and screw the coil and base back on. Once fully assembled, wait a few minutes for the coil to get saturated, and then you will be ready to use your vape pen.
Refilling a bottom-fill vape tank
Take out the coil from the bottom of the vape pen. This should be a metal piece that unscrews. This is another chance to clean your tank well if you have time.
Saturate the coil using your dropper with two drops of your desired e-liquid. Now, you can fill that tank with your e-liquid to the full line.
Slide the coil back in place and screw the bottom piece on tightly. Allow the coil to get saturated for a few minutes, and then you are ready.
Cleaning Your Tank
Keeping your van’s tank and its surroundings clean is a smart practice. It not only makes your rig look good but also ensures consistently enjoyable tastes when you take a breath. It’s wise to clean your tank once every month as a minimum.
However, if you use it frequently, aim for a weekly clean. Inspect your tank for any sticky build-up each time you refill it. A change in taste or flavour can be a sign that it’s time for a cleaning. Remember to clean the tank before switching to a new e-liquid flavour to prevent mixing tastes.
Cleaning involves either a quick clean or a thorough clean.
Quick Cleaning
This is achieved by removing the tank and pouring residual e-juice. Take out the coil and submerge the tank in a bowl of warm water. A few drops of dish soap and swishing should get any gunk out. Then rinse and put it on a paper towel to dry for 20 minutes, and if it is completely dry, fill it up and reassemble.
Thorough Cleaning
This is a longer process in which you take it apart, dump out any leftover juice, and wipe out the inside of the tank with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol or vodka. Take your time to make sure you get any residue out from every corner and crevice. Now, rinse it with warm water and let it dry on a paper towel for at least 20 minutes or until completely dry. Fill ‘er up and reassemble.
